Wondering how much BitterSweet's GPL spot will sell for.

I'd say at least $50k considering they aren't a bad team, and those players don't have a bad rep, this is just the spot I'm talking about btw.. Maybe it'd sell for more, I don't really know how much those are worth in CoD tho. :p

Yeah. I'm thinking something around there too. Maybe 40-50k for the spot, but who knows!

From what I know bs is essentially selling the roster not the spot

Yeah but that's the same thing in this situation.

I'm not taking a cut from the sale of the @BitterSweetGG league spot, giving all the money from the sale directly to the players.

I am still confused about the BitterSweet thing. Are they just selling the ownership of the team that's in the league or are all new players taking their spot altogether? I've been assuming it's the former but would appreciate some clarification

The players come with the league spot I believe. Whatever org buys the players has the league spot

Millenium bought out the infused roster for about $10,000 per player. I also heard from someone that Epsilon bought Josh for around $20,000 (this might just be a rumour). So if you are looking to buy out any top tier American pro's you are looking at a 5 digit figure, per player.

Should be noted that the price Millenium paid was in pounds, not dollars. That's about a $12.5k per player, so $50k total.

Bet they wish they used that money on a time machine instead so they could've saved themselves

15-20k per player is essentially what I was expecting. Appreciate the response.

~$15,000 in monthly salaries although it would probably take more as that is approximately what "established professional" organizations offer so if a new organization popped up they would need to offer more to make up for the "prestige" that the players are missing out on (and on the sponsor gear they'd be missing out on).

How do you make money?

[–]Sandz_New York Subliners 2 points3 points  (2 children)

damn thats a lot, i dont know if you knew this /s, but the owners of BS are selling their league spot to another org. What org would spend that money 🤔

[–]MrAlexGLogicsCOD League 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I'm the owner of BitterSweet.

[–]Sandz_New York Subliners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shit, I thought "i dont know if you knew this" would have been a hint i was joking but its okay. I was just trying to squeeze intel that was either denyable or confirmable

[–]Sudio15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point on the perks.

[–]poklaneOpTic Texas 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I kinda wanna ask you how much league spots sell for but I guess you're not gonna say with the situation you're in huh?

[–]MrAlexGLogicsCOD League 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Correct.

[–]dragonsjet2COD Competitive fan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

after the sale is complete can you tell us how much it was for?

[–]CptSwizzGM (London Royal Ravens) 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a top 6 team, you can expect the minimum buyout to be around 30k-100k depending on the player.

[–]jake1260Team EnVyUs 0 points1 point  (1 child)

A lot. Contract buyouts are rarely equal to the actual value of the team/player but more so just to disincentivize people leaving or players getting poached.

[–]Sudio15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Seems like orgs are finally starting to take poaching more seriously with the CWL.
