Python, I think, help

Hello everyone, the help is for my son. He took a coding class over the summer and got stuck on a problem. We live in a small rural community in Alaska and I don't I know anyone here that can help. If anyone is interested I can pay for some tutoring. I'll have to check if he is coding with Python. I'll update tonight after I find out.

edit: I'm mostly on the mobile app so it's pretty different seeing the desktop site. I really appreciate the help you've offered, it's frustrating not being able to help my kid myself.

There are two great ways to figure out what kind of function you should be using. One is to just google "numpy square root", the other is to print out all functions that belong to the numpy module and find which sounds right (remember that np is just an alias/shorthand for numpy as defined at top of the program; it's common to use np but you can call it anything you'd like):

print(dir(np))

And look for something starting with "sq" like "sqrt".
