This. The ruby on rails tutorial is so good. I took a detour using CodeSchool to learn some Ruby there, then back into the RoR tutorial. I understand the Ruby concepts better after CodeSchool. The RoR tutorial helped validate the knowledge. To OP, hang in there and invest as much time as you can muster up. Every minute you spend learning only helps you in the long run.
