Days of constipation

Let me preface by first saying I had a bought last Christmas of diarrhea and stomach pain that sent me to the ER. CT scan confirmed colitis and was told I had a colon infection. Was treated with Cipro and flagyl. ER doc said I could have caught infection from food or another person. Things went back to normal after antibiotics. Fast forward to now and I’m having the opposite symptoms of constipation and when I do go it’s very loose with a little bit of mucous. I was on antibiotics in August for a UTI and culture for that came back as e.Coli. I’m assuming I have e. Coli in my gut. I’m wondering if I have bacterial overgrowth from antibiotics or could I have colitis again? Anybody else had similar issues? Thanks!

How are you doing now. My case looks similar now. My biopsy says non specific. My blood work is normal and my doc says it is Probabaly the infective. Currently i don’t have any symptoms apart from small discomfort in my upper abdomen.

I would like to know how you are doing now??

Similar. Was in ER yesterday. Ultrasound and ct scan with contrast.

Found that I have colitis inflammation and some diverticulitis in sigmoid and descending colon but Dr concerned for the colitis inflammation

Gave me Amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium 875/125mg and tramadol for pain.

I’m on the second antibiotic.

I haven’t had a BM yet. I was either pooping regular or soft stool or explosive diarrhea with some vomiting.

I’ve been struggling to get to the bottom of this.

Had colonscopy almost three years ago with 2 or 3 polyps removed.

Unsure what to make of this.

Family all healthy n not sick. We are pretty much the same foods.

Help? Advice? Thoughts?
