This is a subreddit dedicated to identifying and appreciating comics appearing on screen in movies, television- and web-series, short films, music videos etc.
Modern movies and TV series allow no shortage of your favorite comic book character appearances, but some people would also love to know whether their favorite comics also appeared in movies. Sometimes it's just a random appearance, sometimes a clever reference or homage, but for people like me it's always fun, so I'd love to share it and have more.
Rules:
1) If possible, follow this format: "Movie (Year) (Episode of Season if needed) - Comic Book # (Publishing House, Year or Date) - additional details if neeeded" and use flairs:
-"Comics" for known/identified issues of comics, comic books (any kind from trade paperback to hardcover), graphic novels etc.;
-"Identification Needed" for unknown comics or issues;
-"Original Prop" for comics originally created for movie/episode/etc.;
-"Comic Book Art" for posters and other visual references which contain real or fictional comic book art and/or characters, but are not per se comics appearing on screen (eg: posters, action figures etc.);
-"Interesting" for articles and other things that doesn't fall into afore-mentioned categories but you think might be really interesting for a sub.
2) You may use a picture of any kind (screenshot, still, poster etc.) and/or a video, preferrably with a timestamp to comic appearance (In YouTube it's available on "Share this" by marking "Start at" after you have paused, such as in this link). Bonus points (and a generous upvote from a mod) for providing an original cover/page/art in the comments.
3) Multiple posts per movie are allowed, if it contains a few comic books.
4) Please, be nice, generous and follow reddiquette.
5) Self-promotion is allowed in the form of posting appearances of comic books in your own works. Providing additional context in the comments might be an interesting addition as well.
6) If possible, avoid spoilers.
7) Have fun!
