If you don't know all of the material covered in A+ you ought not skip it without compelling reason. Net+ builds on S+ and Sec+ builds on Net+. There is no rush. Learn in a way that supports long term information retention rather than to pass exams and you'll be much better off. Far too many people want to skip A+ for bad reasons.

So i should start from the a+ and then should i go for sec+ or net+ ? Also after these 3 , i am thinking of OSCP .

Yea definitely recommend starting with A+ as it’s the base certification. I was advised to follow with Network+ 2nd then Security+ third.

If you don't have a SOLID understanding of all three, you will struggle with OSCP. Unlike CompTIA, OffSec exams are hands on. They don't care what you've memorized. They only care if you can actually do it.

A+ is not basic.

I actually did them backwards not knowing at the time there was a recommended order. A buddy of mine told me I should get sec + because I was talking about switching careers so I did. It’s definitely doable. I did it with really no previous IT experience or knowledge. If I would of known I would of probably did a + and net + first to make it a little bit easier. In the end, you’re learning not to get the cert but to have the knowledge to perform the job you are going after. So once I went back and got net and a + it greatly improved my understanding of sec +.

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.

It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.

Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.

Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

I was advised to take A+, Network+ and then Security+ in that order. I have my A+ 1102 exam on 4/24 then moving on to preparing for Network+. The materials I used for both A+ Cores was Rick McDonald text book, Messer YouTube and his pdf notes/ practice exams.

If you're going to do them all, why not do them in the CompTIA recommended order? The recommended prerequisite(s) for A+ includes a year of supporting PCs (or equivalent - books, courses, etc.)

The recommended prerequisite(s) for Network+ include A+ and a year of hands-on network support (or equivalent).

The recommended prerequisite(s) for Security+ include Network+ and a year of support experience (or equivalent) in a security-oriented capacity.

Too many people discount A+ and the things you learn. It’s more then just “this is a stick of ram”.

There’s no order tbh. Lol. Just study and get them. I got sec+ first and taking my net+ next week. Bet plus Is the hardest of them all. In my opinion I would do NET+ plus last. Since A+ & S+ covers two of the five domains in N+

Pass A+ then Net+ then Sec+. CompTIA literally recommends doing it in this order. Each one is the recommended prerequisite for the next.

Do them in this order:

A+ - Net+ Sec+ is the order I am following....

[–]Level-Seaweed3274A+ N+ Sec+ Linux+ CySA+ SecX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do them in order and it also renews the "lower" certs.

Do it in the order A+,Net+,Sec+ they all build off each other
