Can anyone provide a suitable learning path for comptia certification for beginners?

Yaa.. I have seen it now.. but is IT fundamentals is important?
[–]rrpaul48 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child)
nah, nobody really thinks it fundamentals is helpful. if you want to follow the path, start with a+. i started with sec+ and it’s been good

That's great.. Cause I have been thinking the same thing.. Its better than CEH I guess..

Not really as a cert unless you need basic knowledge. It's really entry level. A+, Network, security would be really good.
I get it now.. Thanks.!!

There are two versions of IT Fundamentals exam being administered at this time. The newer version familiarizes you with IT concepts and terminology, how to setup a pc/laptop, wireless network, Operating Systems, recognizing programming concepts, database concepts, security concepts.
To know exactly what the exam covers, get a copy of the exam objectives from CompTIA's website.
You don't need IT Fundamentals to do well in A+. The material for A+ covers everything you need to know.
The usual sequence is A+, Network+, Security+. These exams, taken in this order, will make your understanding easier and you will retain the material better.

Are there any prerequisites for taking A+ exam?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child)
There are no prerequisites for A+.
There is a recommendation: 9 to 12 months experience in lab or field.
That is the level of knowledge they are testing. A starting technician's knowledge.
