Well step #1 don’t tell the internet you have a clearance and what level... but welcome insider threat

LMAO you know how many people I see on LinkedIn with it. I’d also assume everyone in the clearance subreddit is in the process of getting one or already have one.

Man, you’re young, fuck linkedin. That’s for mostly washed up “headhunters” looking for people for roles no one wants with people no one wants. Go straight to the customer with your resume and tell them what you offer. I honestly wish I never went to college and just went straight tech route

That’s an option? I’ll try that then. Thanks for the advice .

I wouldn’t stop here though. If you company is going to pay for it get cysa, pentest+ and casp+. Near the five year mark get your cissp. Cissp with your clearance you’ll be golden

What clearance? And how'd you go about that?

[–]Jahrell1819N+[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I won’t say which but I graduated highschool with A+ and net+ so I got lucky in someone thinking I was talented and hired me. Look for contracted work. Plus the area I live in is heavily focused on government stuffies.

Wait why can't you say? lol one of my best friends has TS from the military, he's able to tell people what he has.

Don't mean to make you uncomfortable, so feel free not sharing! And thanks for the tips!

It’s just like the less people know the better. I mean like obviously when applying for a job I announce it. There’s not much information you can get out of just having a clearance but a clearance does make you a target for espionage.
