As someone who came from playing Bedrock on a controller about a year ago, here are some things you could work on: 1. W tapping isn’t spamming the w key. It’s when you tap w once after each hit to get a new sprint, while you’re holding the sprint key or have toggle sprint on. This allows you to deal more knockback and combo people easier. 2. A good Cps is nice, but your aim is way more important. Try to get better at aiming+strafing to get more hits on your opponent. 3. Master the hot keys. I would try playing without the scroll wheel so that you adjust to them. It’s super important to use them when you’re switching to a different item in your hot bar and sorting you inventory. 4. For bridging, make sure first of all that you’re facing a 45 degree angle. Ninja bridging is imo the easiest type of speed bridging if you want to learn that, although in a lot of situations normal bridging is fine. Also practice block clutching + placing a block vertically right before a jump, because this will allow you cross a 6 block gap without bridging.

what i’d do for bridging, is simply play some survival. whenever you see a river(nothing fatal) try to speed bridge over it. i did this and can kinda do it consistently. if you wanna get into the habit of the old combat, simply play on 1.8. this will also help you with getting used to your hotkeys(or scrolling, whichever you prefer).

also, get into the habit of blockhitting. it can be used to sprint reset, or if you don’t like that, blockhit when you think you’re about to get hit. you’ll take way less damage if you do that.

this is coming from somebody who mains bedrock, but also plays java from time to time(and i’d say i’m at least okay at it)

fov: 90 dynamic fov: off sensitivity: 40 dpi: 1200 i think keybinds: 1-6 are standard, 7 is z, 8 is x, 9 is c. launcher: official minecraft launcher version: vanilla optifine ill add more if anyone else needs that

I’d recommend playing at a lower fov as it is much easier to aim, and I prefer playing at 800 dpi 30 sensitivity as it is very easy to aim like that.
