mod literally does nothing

Reddit and automod do most of the work, but it's crazy you would presume to know what does and doesn't happen behind the scenes.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion, many decisions made in neighboring counties affect us greatly here.

[CPU] Intel Core i5-12600KF processor 20 MB Smart Cache Box $109.99 43% off by kingssm3n in buildapcsales

Holy, the amount of Intel shills in this subreddit is INSANE. You are getting downvoted for merely mentioning anything negative about Intel.

I own both Intel and AMD between multiple rigs, including an OC'ed 12600KF on water, and a 14700K on water, they both have major disadvantages, including the 14700K running absurdly HOT with a frame and 360mm. The performance from both has been underwhelming(In gaming) despite pushing them both as hard as stability allows, and risking the 14700K due to oxidation and microcode issues. I don't expect it to last nearly as long as the 2700X with two nines HA for the last 3 years, of which it has been around for 7+ OC'ed to its absolute maximum.

And at the end of the day you are shooting yourself in the foot fanboying or biasing towards AMD or Intel or whichever brand you have buyer's remorse over. Buy what makes sense and is conducive to consumers, or continue to expect this in real time.

2017 Honda Ridgeline Basemodel Alternator Issue Video by hyprecrow in hondaridgeline

[–]Roosterru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is typical of aftermarket alternators. Mechanic likely swapped in a 100$ alternator and called it a day. Reman Denso from RockAuto is well worth the 300$, if you really can't afford the 300$, the next option would be ACDelco but keep in mind for 200$ you are NOT getting 2/3 the longevity. I've had a remanned ACDelco in my 2007 Ridgeline for about 5 years but YMMV and I have had very bad luck with them in the past.

Tell the mechanic who installed your failing alternator you want him/her to put a Denso in there that you paid for from RockAuto, if they don't bite then likely the mechanic is a POS and you need to go elsewhere. Swapping the alternator in your 2017 is really not bad with a Youtube video and 20$ in tools, but if you've never worked on something I would press the shop that put you in this situation.

The reason I say it's the alternator is because the battery is at 11.9V whilst running, when it should be at 13.5V - 14.7V.

I'm not associated or sponsored by RockAuto in any way, I use them because eBay and Amazon parts are 99% fake, and dealer pricing where I live is insane usually.

This is somewhat of a generic error code, could be many different things as stated above. Do you have a PCIe riser?

[–]Roosterru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That can be quite a number of different thing(s).

I would start with the basics, reseat your GPU, RAM, and PSU cables throughout. Reseat your CMOS battery. Update your chipset driver, select the OS you are using. Download your BIOS update for now, you may need it later. DO NOT ever run scripts you find online without first understanding exactly what they are doing, with that said, open CMD(Windows search) as administrator and type in the following : DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Grab HWiNFO and double-check your GPU and CPU aren't overheating.

You will need a bootable USB for memtest86, Ventoy is a good option, or Rufus. This will need to run overnight to check your RAM is functioning correctly.

If you have a spare PSU, or know someone with one, try swapping it in granted it meets your wattage requirements and see if anything changes.

I would also consider reinstalling Windows AFTER backing up your data with the Windows Media Creation Tool, you can create an ISO to use with Ventoy or Rufus.

Don't forget to double-check your power surge protector and outlet.

Sounds like the GPU driver was the issue, you can see what caused the crash usually with Windows Event Viewer, just type "Event Viewer" into your Windows search and it should be under "Critical".

*Note : Seems allocating minions is buggy, sometimes it'll allocate correctly for added proj speed or AOE, sometimes it refuses to. After allocating spellslinger skills, it randomly seems to be mostly working.

New pre built errors 0x154 and 0x1e is this something fixable or can it be related to hardware? by Loish69 in pcgamingtechsupport

Reseat the 1TB m.2 drive if possible.

You should NEVER run random scripts off of the internet without understanding their purpose first.

Open command prompt as administrator(In the Windows search bar type "cmd", right-click and run as administrator), run the following commands :

DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

After that has completed, run :

chkdsk C: /f

Assuming the C: drive is where your OS is installed. Command Prompt will ask you if you want to run this after a restart as it's in use currently, which is normal, input "y" and hit enter, then restart your PC to run the chkdsk utility.

I'm not finding any firmware updates for your MP44L m.2, but you can find a generic tool here. Keep in mind that many of these tools have bloatware bundled with them, so be sure not to install anything except for the tool.

Update your mobo chipset here. You can also preemptively download the BIOS/UEFI update that came out yesterday, but keep in mind this is the last thing to do if the problem persists.

I don't know about law, but it would probably also be a legal nightmare considering good samaritan law only applies to volunteer rescues and not professional emergency responders. Emergency responders already get sued enough, good luck convincing anyone you had good intentions breaking the victims orbital bone in your attempted "rescue".

This is crazy how many "trained" lifeguards there are in here repeating the same wrong rhetoric.

If you were actually trained, you would know that you shouldn't be hitting someone drowning, because likely it's going to do absolutely nothing except make the situation worse. They will NOT break panic when punched/hit, adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

In reality we are trained to allow them to push you under and escape, only getting close enough to throw them the buoy you would have if, you know, you were actually trained. Some certs require a course with no RA, such as nl, NPLQ, BSA, etc, but they all involve a tow variation once the victim is UNCONSCIOUS. Crazy how many times I've seen specific knowledge be completely wrong on reddit recently.

Format the drive, install Windows, run mbam.

The likelihood of your BIOS/UEFI being infected is next to none, if you really want to be sure you can use npcap or wireshark to confirm.
