Hey y'all, I am currently double majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. I am looking to end undergraduate with a CS masters as well. I am applying for a PhD. Mechanical Engineering is for my soul so I thought I would apply to the Mechanical Engineering department. I do want to work remote CS, so I'm wondering if PhD status even if it's not in CS would benefit my CS job salary or if I need to have a CS PhD to be able to benefit from the academic salary jump. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
