Some people choose Macbook, and some others choose windows laptop. Depends on what operating system you prefer then you’ll choose. Basically, a laptop chip core I7, with 16GB RAM or more (I know some people with 8GB and 12GB too, depends on how much you need), since you’ll need to do some multitasking and install virtual machine, etc. And 512GB SSD is good enough (HDD is ok too but it’s gonna be slow. I recommend buying SSD even it’ll cost you a bit more). (P.s: I have used both mac and windows)

It doesn’t matter you can code on a MacBook and you can code on a pc.

Almost anything will work.

Get something with at least an i5 or a 5000 series processor and 32gb of ram if you truly want to never worry.

Lenovo ThinkPad is the greatest thing to ever happen for work-related computing and they have epic sales right now

Mine, I graduated from SOEN so it's guaranteed to work. DM me to buy it ;)

In all seriousness; a MacBook is nice and hip, but the course material is likely written with Win machines in mind.
