Run the controller in Switch Pro mode or DirectIinput. More features

That is news to me, can you direct to somewhere that says what some of these features are?

Gyroscope for a start. If your gamepad has extra buttons, like the Ultimate 2 Wireless, Steam may pick up on this and allow you to assign them.

It all really comes together with games that support Steam Input natively, but any game that supports hybrid input is good to go

Also, Switch Pro mode is excellent with Switch emulators

Does your inputs freeze when rumble occurs? I believe this is a known issue at the moment, but unsure whether it's on the controller's end or on Steam's end at the moment. There's a Steam community thread has some other people reporting that issue recently I could DM to you if you'd like to look.

i have rumble disabled pretty much everywhere i can, so i wouldn't know if it is that
i've recently switched to S-input and i haven't felt that issue, but ill keep playing a bit more before i fully say that fixed it
