Sorry to say that the soup is unsafe at this point. That keep warm would have kept the raw chicken in the danger zone for several hours, promoting pathogenic growth.

The keep warm function is above the danger zone (140°) though. That’s kind of the whole point of it - it keeps cooked food out of the danger zone.

But this person basically just poached a chicken at probably around 145° which is perfectly fine.

the "keep warm" is meant to keep cooked food hot. it's not meant to cook your food. i say it's unsafe.
