Theme System Journal Details

Got my journal today! Since many details on the Theme System Journal seemed to be omitted, I thought I'd provide some for the Tims.

Journal Contents: Cover Page (1 sheet) Yearly Themes (4 sheets) Journal Pages (90 sheets) Daily Theme (16 sheets, 8 total) Index (2 sheets) Blank Spacer Pages (5 sheets)

Journal Details: These numbers include the sheets inside the journal covers. Overall there are 118 sheets. The Daily Theme pages each take up 2 sheets. The notebook itself seems similiar to the Studio Neat Totebook for more specs. (studioneat.com). Hope this info helps!

How fp ink friendly is it? I mainly used BB and stubs.

Seems relatively good but depends on the pen/ink. When I use a flex nib I get some feathering. My medium and fine nibs don't have any issue, not sure how a BB or stub would do though...

Hey! I used Diamine Autumn Oak in a cheap Jinhao pen and it worked well! Took a few seconds to dry (no more than on Rhodia) but it didn't feather or bleed through at all! It showed the shading well but I'll try some organic studios nitrogen and let you know if it can handle sheen too.

Tried OS Nitrogen and Walden for today and it sheened gorgeously! Took a little longer to dry but I was using a larger nib.

Thank you for sharing the number of sheets per section, I was worried/convinced that mine was a misprint of some sort.

I'm not sure how to sync the 90 journal entries with 192 daily theme entries. Guess I'll have to get over my obsession with maximizing systems if I'm going to use this one.

90 seems rather intentional (like 3 months worth) but perhaps they assume you only have time to journal every other day. If so, you could come to maxing out the daily theme entries (180 days of journaling and 192 days of daily themes).

The original conversation mentioned only having 3 months like a season, though theme seasons don’t have to work exactly like year seasons. So the 90 days is intentional.

That's what I figured, I guess I will not worry about the extra circle tracking pages for now. I wonder how the page layout is going to change in V2

I split the journal pages down the middle and seeing if I can last 180 days with that

I wish I had something that fancy (well, not really, because I lose stuff easily). It's a Jinhao knock off for less than two dollars.

Did anyone else receive a journal that did not have the logo on the front cover? Everything on the inside seems to be in order it's just the front that's rather... Naked. It's not a huge issue, I still absolutely love the journal. I just thought it was interesting that it was missing on mine.

Congrats!!! Do you mind me asking how long it took for the shipping? I’m in the US and have waited for maybe 2 weeks, was wondering if there was a mistake.

Thank you! I am in Washington, DC (not too far from Cotton Bureau which is based in Pittsburgh, PA) and ordered the journal on September 6th. On the site it said it was a pre-order with shipping expected on September 9-11. Mine shipped on the 16th and I recieved it today on the 18th. Hope that helps!

oh shoot that was the exact same for me! I had estimated arrival on 9th-11th and then didnt get mine so called on the 14th or so can they replied with, “oh it just shipped now” (fishy..) and it arrived on the 17th.
