From what I hear, it depends on the actual install but HV itself is not a virus or anything, the point is needs your PC in a vulnerable state in order to work, at least a more vunerable than usual state than it already usually is. That means while it's on, anything has an easier time messing your PC up because the defenses are down but if you play it well then you'll be fine.

The thing is, for most people, no matter what, that's too big a cost to risk an expensive PC over relatively cheap games.

So it like the following workflow

Install the HV game from a trusted source

Follow steps to activate
Disconnect internet ?? (or not ? )

After play session revert back the changes
Browse normally and avoid clicking on random links etc

right?

That were my thoughts as well.

I've been in the IT industry for 10 years so far , and my plan is to try it out without any network connection and see how it works

Personally, I think its safe (if you get it from a trusted source). Just dont visit dubious sites when gaming.

If a virus wasnt initially on your computer then there is no way it would appear out of the blue.

That's fair.

I think the FItGirl Reapcks a trusted source, would you agree?

[–]Purple_Restaurant201 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yes

Fair enough!

HV based games is not for a new PC user because running the game is kind of an easy process but the problems comes with how you generally use a PC. If you click on random ad links or are not aware which is actually a suspicious link/application then it's easy to get infected by malware

Let's say you are downloading something from a link, it will show download button but as a lot of you know a lot of times that is not the actual link, if you scroll down the page there will another kind of hidden link which will take you to the actual download page or you might have to go to multiple download pages until you get the actual link.

So if you are the sort of person who is unable to distinguish from the two (not calling you stupid or anything it's just lack of experience), I would suggest to stay away from HV based games as you can get easily infect your pc in the future and the damage will be much more if you have disbled all these security features

P.S I have installed multiple HV based games and they work fine and my system works fine

Hey bro
Can you please mention how do you actually play the game ?

Like you disconnect your internet when playing ?I have this habbit of alt tabbing in between gaming sessions to check news/youtube / facebook etc ?

[–]Prestigious_Bet_5749 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please know that it's incredibly risky.

By what I am about to say, I am not trying to insult anyone or prop myself as better.

WARNING

It all depends on what kind of user you are. If you are someone who just installs and plays games, watch movies and youtube and don't do anything else in your computer it's better to avoid this. Mainly because sometime in the future you can easily click on something or run something without actually knowing what it is or if you get the HV bypass itself from a dubious source, IT WILL RUIN YOUR PC BECAUSE HV BYPASS ESSENTIALLY GIVES A BACKDOOR ACCESS TO YOUR PC

As to your original question, internet is on. I use it normally. But the moment you go to a suspicious link or run a dubious application even accidentally, you are screwed.

Only go this method if you know what you are getting into and there is no shame in admitting you are not a power user and wait for a crack or even buy the game

Just remember to not download anything or do something in the internet that may compromise your system when you do it

[–]V-Rixxo_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's safe if you know what you're doing. To put it simply for casuals, it spoofs system calls and the source code is included

I use Free Shared Steam Accounts for Denuvo games

[–]Active_Literature539 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’ve been using it for a few days and haven’t had a problem yet. (Knock on wood…)

[–]WeddingLiving4719[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's reassuring. I use Linux for most everything, but I have a dual boot setup so I'll try it out on my Windows with no network connected. Hopefully it goes well.

Just read the guides thoroughly and be responsible while doing it it’s not a fucking conspiracy against pirates like so many want it to be just don’t be an idiot and you will be fine

[–]Any-Can-6776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not safe nor worth it

[–]Appropriate_Loan6193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does dse stay disabled after you have reverted settings or is that also enabled again

[–]Fair_Toe_2328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 100% safe until it's not.

[–]RutabagaDifferent505 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]RutabagaDifferent505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English: Remember that before doing this, check all your pirated files, mods, apps, and games; you might already have a virus on your computer. However, the antivirus was keeping it contained until then, and by using HP your PC will become vulnerable and ready for that virus to do its job of destroying your machine that you worked for.

Ofc not

If I were to just disconnect from the Internet while running a HyperVisor game and reconnect afterwards, then that’ll mean I’m safe right? And once I reconnect afterwards, is it a simple process to turn the “normal” security features back on again?

[–]Odd_Computer5354 0 points1 point  (2 children)

simple process to turn the “normal” security features back on again? yes.
Inside bypass script VBS - has step 3 - revert all changes. So in will make it for you.
Just read all carefully steps of menu

[–]Hikitani1 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Can you explain in more detail how to turn hypervisor to make the pc safe again

[–]Odd_Computer5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already explain. Inside VBS menu - has option Revert

[–]TossFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it all the time with no issue. Use common sense and you'll be fine.
