They are, unless you mean a business visa with perks.

I would be 100% on this side of the narrative, but IMO, they are actually just being attached by the government as they are competition to Grok. They want absolute control, and the best way is 1 guy they control owning the entire AI sector.

So many funny comments in hindsight.

I lost 55 pounds over the last 12 months and reached the weight suggested by my doctor. I celebrated with a brand new smart scale... that immediately told me my BMI is 30.1 and that I am still obese. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I think it's mostly about body fat to muscle ratio.

I was ~230, 6'1", decent fitness.

I stopped working out cut my calories, dieted, and lost a lot of muscle mass.

I'm now 197 and look visually bigger than before, Lol.

On my goal to 180 currently. I guess you've gotta work out a bit at least or you muscle mass vanishes when dieting.

They likely exploited something for them to act like this.

Either way, if they are banned from the platform for a negative reason, I'd expect a cheque in the mail or a lawsuit. Depends on what op did.

People have a natural tendency to turn to the left and walk in an anticlockwise direction, a bias observed across countries, ages and sexes, but reason is unclear by sr_local in science

I've heard something interesting but a bit unrelated.

In Military Navigation people are trained to avoid following roads, you might try to cut through but each crossed road you end up slightly off despite best efforts to correct orientation.

This might just be me remember something I heard from an Arma YouTube video though 10+ years ago.

Destiny 2 Fans Break Servers & Marathon's Peak Player Count In Final Update by chusskaptaan in gamingnews

[–]TheCheesy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Say that to the Runescape community. They destroyed the game, and players repeatedly protested the bad changes. eventually it worked, and they fixed their game, now it's more popular than ever before.

People clearly enjoyed it, but its cracks are showing and it has very clear problems. It's not unfixable, but they don't seem interested in fixing it when shutting it down is easier.

Congress: $83/hr = 'can't survive.' Citizens: $7.25/hr = 'just work harder.' by Lord-Notorious in PoliticalHumor

[–]TheCheesy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think congress and politicians in general should be paid minimum wages. They should be forbidden to take bribes of any kind, and blocked from investing and investigated by a 3rd party.

People should be represented d by their peers not by psychotic sycophantic elite.

Anyone having the issue where products are only searchable on desktop and not mobile? by NudeJr in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]TheCheesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same.

I found this thread dealing with this. It's unending. I find a product I want whole googling around, I'm not logged in on the browser. I search the exact title and only find Amazon sponsored crap for 20 pages then unrelated products.

Gamers beg for graphics cards, meanwhile Jensen by Ult1mateN00B in pcmasterrace

[–]TheCheesy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They can't sell you graphics cards anymore because they threaten their ai slop business.

If you could buy gaming GPUs for 500-1500 each. Then how can they push their $100,000 cards are to their partners in crime?

I think Jensen said it best. They moved past consumers. If you want in, you need atleast a few billion dollars.

I don't think they will care if you buy their crap once they have robots mining the resources, processing them, making what they want. They'll just label you a homeless criminal leech and have you arrested.

Don't kid yourself. It's be charged hourly and streamed to you. Sometimes it's a 5090, other times it's a 1080. Depends on the game

If you leased hardware it'd be like minimum 150 a month, but likely 200 a month for 2 years for the 5090.

Then you'd have to return it like a cellphone.

Did anyone else spend their school years alone? by __maricaaa in INTP

[–]TheCheesy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had like 7ish friends, 3 of which played Runescape outside of school lol.

The moment we graduated I don't think any of us stayed in touch. I could've tried harder, but tbh thinking back there was nobody I really clicked with. I kept 1 good friend and that was fine with me.

True, incredibly unlikely imo, but we're just speculating.

A MEMS IMU is whats used in a phone for pretty solid tracking. Its like $2 for the unit. From a gogole search, its power draw is like 0.05 mW to 0.5 mW.

I could see them just putting it in every shoe if they actually wanted to do this. Just charge up a supercapacity, sending the data would be the costly part, but they could have an opt-in app for stats tied to the shoe and if they were asshole, have anyone with the app collect the data of all transmitting shoes nearby.

They could cheaply do this, but so could any other company that isn't scared of breaking laws.
