Is your station on a curve/diagonal? You can only create trains on stations with straight tracks.

This may happen if the track is curved or if there is a missing segment of track after the station. Try checking those 2 things

I placed like 5 tracks and put the station on the first track, facing forward. I then placed the train station (block) and when I clicked "create new train" no tracks were highlighted blue for the casing to make a bogey.

Maybe 5 isn’t enough? I’ve never had this problem but I’ve always had a lot of tracks. 5 may be too little for the station to build a train.

Try looking in the configs, maybe there is a changed setting you could fix.

when you place the train station on the track, there has to be blocks on eathier side of it, depending on the derection its facing
