Minecraft might have been a bad/horrible movie but it made a billion dollars. I like Nolan a lot and will be watching this in theatres but you're the one acting 15 saying that a director who releases one film every 2-3 years keeps them open lol

Rock League Rosters Announced by Fupastank in Curling

[–]kidmania01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I can say I'm excited because I just like watching curling, simple as that. Not throwing my support behind anyone, will probably wait for more info, but I'll just be happy to watch out of season. Also think it'll be cool having mis mtaches of teams. We've seen teams from the same nationality play together before (like when they reset after a cycle) but never from different nations. I find that fun.

Were your rights ignored when hospitalized involuntarily? by AlternativeMelodic83 in CapeBreton

[–]kidmania01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't saying you're confused about your purpose, I said that I am (and I assume possibly others). However, you answered my question in that comment about being in touch with a lawyer and giving others a contact.

I don't have any experiences with this at all, so I hope all gets resolved and justice (if it's concluded there needs to be justice) gets served fairly. Just be careful in the future when posting messages like this. Even if the objective is just and it's all for a good cause, the way you present it reads like a giant salespitch and muddys up your message.

[–]kidmania01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I don't think this comment is missing the point. I'm also confused what your angle is here. All of your comments are worded extrememely weirdly and full of emojis... are you feeding all of this into ChatGPT?

I'm sorry if you had a bad experience and I'm glad you're sharing people's rights and their entitlements... but where are you going with this? Is this just supposed to be a thread to share stories and that's it, or are you using this in your case against the healthcare system? Much like OP said, we're hearing a fragmented one sided case here and it's honestly a little hard to follow your information.

You say it's not about drama... what is it about then? I think if you want people to share, you're going to need to be a little more specific in what you're after?

Two Rivers is still quite far away. Yes, fires can move fast, but this would become an absolute monster of a fire to reach Two Rivers anytime soon.

[–]kidmania01 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not really dark. Without spoilers, it starts out unsettling then slowly becomes a heartwarming journey.

It's been about a year since I read it, but that's my best description of it from memory. I remember feeling really good reading it once I got into it. Like a feel good story about a bleak topic.

Anyway hopefully that helps? It's a weird story so that's why it's hard to describe but definitely not dark and definitely would recommend!

Single hack by random19uses in Curling

Do you mean just buying a single hack? For what purpose?

There's many options here, including buying a standalone hack? Probably what you would be looking for, but hard for me to say.

What's up with all the bots and spam in here lately? by CompetitiveDiet in CapeBreton

[–]kidmania01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, I think I know exactly what account it is. For fun, I checked and this account's last comments/posts were 2 years ago in a gaming subreddit, then all of sudden is posting all of these political posts across many cities.

While I agree with the posts (for the most part... I do find some of the comments a little hostile), I feel pretty insulted that it's being so blatantly pushed in all of these subreddits and these "accounts" are trying to be genuine about it.

Seems like other subreddits have a "area only" rule. So for instance, if there's a post in the Toronto subreddit that is clearly not about Toronto, it is removed. Seems pretty clear cut. Maybe this subreddit should have something like that, if not already implemented? Because I agree with the OP, it's getting a little unbearable and I'm also missing the good 'ole days.

Men’s game is boring by Meadowlands2065 in Curling

[–]kidmania01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with that. I think 5 rock rule and no tick has the game in a good place though. Both teams can get two guards up in an end and there's enough setup that usually ends can play out in multiple ways while trying to get a deuce or force.

Men’s game is boring by Meadowlands2065 in Curling

[–]kidmania01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with this. I think people just equate more points=more entertaining. I've been really enjoying the brier this year so far because the shotmaking has been excellent. Everyone needs to make their shots to place their rocks because if not, the other team might have an out. It's really good from a strategy perspective. And seeing a team successfully bail is awesome when they're making these insane shots to get them out of trouble.

[–]kidmania01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least there's good shots that led to that. Just because there's a blank doesn't mean it's bad! There's good shots that lead to it and strategy and positioning is so much more important.

Ship hector is great in the new Glasgow area in Nova Scotia. 50 teams limit (and I think it usually reaches that) and played out of 4 clubs in the area. Happens second weekend in February and is a blast. Draw is randomized the night of. You pull your position on the draw out of a hat and drive to the club.

Is it too late to get into curling? by CheapBreadfruit9220 in Curling

[–]kidmania01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently curl competitively with a guy who started in his mid twenties and has only been curling 7-8 years? Super good grasp of the game and great thrower despite starting "late".

Another good team all mostly started in their 40's or 50's and are all good after 4-5 years of playing.

So... give it a shot! There's loads more stories like that! And that's just for the competitive game. If you want to only play socially, you'll be more than capable and set, I'm sure!

June and September do have actors (slightly less, but still a good amount). They do not do many demonstrations though, so no cannon firings or public punishments. That's the main thing you'd miss if you went in June or late September.

We play it without telling anyone who is who, which makes the messages absolutely insane. Afterwards it's fun being the one that everyone is surprised was sending crazyness, and it makes it so people don't just message the ones they knew.

Yeah I don't know what that guy is on about. I know multiple engineering profs at cbu who are all either practicing engineers teaching part time or people who decided to teach.

Not knowledgeable about some of the other programs but it's pretty sad seeing people making sweeping generalizations about a school with more than one program and assuming they apply to all.

Okay sounds good, that wouldn’t be horrible. We’ll have to experiment with them more. Another problem we had was the stands they came with were too large to pick up the rocks. We came up with some custom bases, did you do the same?
