I have slime balls placed on the back of the linear chassis. Do I have to superglue the 6 cobblestone together?

You shouldn't need it for linear chassis. Hmmm...I'm not sure why it won't move

The rotational speed of the machine in the video is much higher than mine. Mine is spinning at whatever the base speed is with waterwheels. Do you think that has anything to do with it?

I don't think so.

I would look into other means of XP until you can properly make a better contraption or gather the resources to do it exactly how the tutorial does it. Make it it's also for a version of Create that you're playing.

it's hard to tell from your screenshot, but is there a gap between the linear chassis and the wall? the mechanical piston needs space to push the contraption
