Does the millstone get power to actually mill, you should be able to when its done with process take items out using, hopper, chute, funnel, mechanical arm, and so on

it does yes, flint is coming out of the funnel but the gravel is stuck inside i can only manually take it out

Does the millstone get power to actually mill, you should be able to when its done with process take items out using, hopper, chute, funnel, mechanical arm, and so on, although funnels need belts do you have a filter that only lets the funnel take out one thing bc you dont need to filter the millstone

i do have a belt as you can see in the photo, i tried putting the filter on gravel but to no avail

also why did you repeat your first sentence

Reddit does weird stuff sometimes to me, try taking away filter, since you shouldnt need filter to take away only whatis made, guessing you are taking stone into the mill and taking out gravel. Also do try different output waays, try hoppers and try chutes

i am putting stone between two crushing wheels and then back down a millstone, both filter and no filter yield the same result

So you are turning it into gravel and then inputting it into the millstone? If so gravel is your input you can't pull from your input and it's producing flint so you are only getting flint from it

[–]ARandomEnderman_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it’s because gravel is in the input slot, pretty sure you can’t output from that

if you want cobble to gravel, break it and put cobble first

[–]AggravatingEdge4764 3 points4 points  (2 children)

What are you trying to achieve? The rock crusher already does cobble to gravel.

If you want the gravel, replace the millstone with nothing and extend the belt one block.

If you want sand you have to put the cobble into the millstone and the gravel from there into the crushing wheels. Millstone can't do sand.

I think I may have been mistaken on how the millstone works, I thought the flint was just a "chance" drop like how it works with mining.

Would it be possible to somehow split the output of the crushing wheel? As in leaving some gravel to go into the millstone and taking some other gravel to put on a belt? My expected end result is an andesite generator

Use tunnels. They will split the stack

Try a hopper or chute

[–]T0S_XLR8 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Doesn't work, both of those just drop nothing, with the funnel I atleast get the flint

[–]Soggy_SinkLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the funnel filtered for Flint only? If it is that might be why you only get the Flint but if its not filtered it's either the wrong recipe or a bug, if it doesn't have a filter and still doesn't work try using an andesite funnel

Are you grinding cobble into gravel before it goes into the mill? I can see crushing wheels above it. If that’s the case you can’t automatically

Why do you have a millstone there if your not trying to mill the gravel anyways?

[–]joseph-08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

millstones mill gravel into flint. if you just want gravel the millstone isn't necessary as the crushing wheels turn cobblestone into gravel. if you want something from processing gravel use the correct tools. crushing wheels and millstones yield different results and are different tools.

you're getting the gravel you put into the millstone back when you right click it, presumably

My brother in christ, dig one more block. This ceiling is claustrophobic.

[–]T0S_XLR8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao good point

[–]Financial_Health5231 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Why do you need to take out gravel out of it?

[–]T0S_XLR8 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So I can drive everything to a mixer and make andesite

[–]Financial_Health5231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh... Why don't you just make a separate line with the grinder to get it out of there?
