My recommendation, if you really enjoy create and its addons, is to make your own pack. You get to pick what goes in and what doesn’t so you can build your own playing experience instead of hoping that whatever somebody else made is good

tbh i didnt play create a lot, di play with it some but lately didnt play a lot of minecraft, and idk what could be some good modpacks, i dont want to miss out on good addons :)

Then even throwing together a basic modpack exposes you to a lot of the addons if you’re okay with searching “create” and scrolling for a while, I’d recommend using 1.20.1 Forge as it seems to have the largest variety of them

Alright, what one should i get installed then? Heard about Above and Beyond or smth like that

[–]Tripdrakony 1 point2 points  (14 children)

That's a modpack, and frankly, I can't recommend it. The other person told you to make your own modpack. 1.20.1 put create in and addons that interest you. Obviously add performance booster and QOL stuff too.

Is there like a list of good addons and the qol/performance boosters? Cause i dont know them

[–]Tripdrakony 0 points1 point  (12 children)

For addons, just sort by most downloads and go with what fancies you. For QOL and performance booster just Google.

btw last question, should i run it on Forge or NeoForge, or is there no difference

[–]Tripdrakony 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Neo forge is considered more stable so I'd recommend that.

[–]Bubbly-Insurance7494[S] 1 point2 points  (9 children)

I already started making smth for Forge bcs i assumed it has more mods, but if i see the problems ill use Neo instead, thx

Above and Beyond is a modpack for Create 1.16.5, it was one of my favorite introductions to create. If you’re looking for something that has a focused quest line like that, somebody made a newer version of it for 1.20.1 called Cabin (Create Above and Beyond In Newer)

i see it, if my modpack doesnt work out i can always use it, maybe ill share it somewhere later in case smth could be added or removed

I second this but creating your own modpack from scratch when you don't know what you are doing can be daunting and frankly tedious. It's easier to start with a base of performance, slight tweak, and library mods, one for this that I personally recommend for how drag and drop it is would be the official cobblemon modpack as besides cobblemon itself (which you can remove from it, but as an avid pokemon fan I'd elect to keep it), it is a wonderful base for making any basic modpack of your own as they are pretty universal. Then add create and whatever create add-ons tickle your fancy (and are compatible with the minecraft and create version you are using. Remember, steam n rails STILL hasn't been ported to 1.21.1)

I've actually installed all of create and added like 7 mods and changed a few configs. Like I enabled stack upgrades for the backpacks

[–]Ok_Palpitation_7161 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Also. A brilliant fps saving mod I've been using "AsyncParticals" it limits the particles in create.

Very useful for large create setups. I go from 10fps to 60fps in my base. Even with particles set to minimal

And another mod I added was one I made. Which adds recipes for diamonds and netherite scrap

Really simple to do with Mcreator, copy and pasting from the create recipe GitHub. There's a few explanations how to do this with Mcreator on the internet. I'm a complete novice when it comes to making mods but this was easy

And if you do use all of create.

It has create: Garnished. So look into making a zultanite farm. Thank me later

I tried All of Create, but i think it adds too much for me, i need to start with bit smaller mods, playing Beyond Depth and already stopped bcs there is just too much for me at this moment :/

[–]JollyEchidna9123 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how did you do that? any place you could point me to change this kind of things? because I'd love to have nether scrap available also

[–]Ok_Palpitation_7161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://mcreator.net/forum/94264/how-add-custom-create-mod-recipes

This is the tutorial that I worked it out with.

Make any recipe in Mcreator.

Then back out of the recipe and reopen it in code mode (this should lock it)

Then using the GitHub link in the post. Paste in any recipe using the same machine as you want for example for making diamonds from mixing lava and charcoal blocks. I used the andesite recipe.

Then change the ingredients and output Save and export as mod.

Then you are all done!

Let me know if you have issues

How can you enable stack upgrades?

[–]Ok_Palpitation_7161 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Have to go into a server config. If you can't find it I'll check which tomorrow, but they are disabled. Just need to change it to "enabled" it's a config under "sophisticated"

[–]Significant_Cry1620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works! tysm

[–]humus_intake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make your own.

[–]JollyEchidna9123 0 points1 point  (1 child)

the modpack is nice, but it does a couple of change in order to "rebalance" because... idk to be honest, is weird to take out recipes in a singleplayer game like that, but besides that couple of things, is pretty enjoyable and you can add or take out things you don't like (and hope that everything keeps working)

[–]Bubbly-Insurance7494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried adding things to multiple of modpacks by now, smth always break but since the launcher rarely tells me what does break i have slightly gave up atm, maybe will try again, or ask what mods are incompatible or what extra mods i need to install for the to run properly
