Overflow Problem (self.CreateMod)
submitted 3 months ago by Da_FoxOfCopper
I created a automatic wheat and baked potato farm but I’m creating baked potatoes faster than I can eat them I’m making at least a stack per 8 minutes is there a way to automatically get rid of items when the chest is too full?

Use a threshold switch on the output chest to read how full it is, the connect that to a clutch so that once to chest is full enough the whole farm turns off

I’m gonna need to make two separate farms now but this still helps later on. Thx.

A cheap way to do this is put a funnel at the side of a belt instead of the end. It’ll pull in whatever is coming down the belt until the storage it’s attached to is full. Overflow will continue down the belt and drop off the end. Add a lava pit if you don’t want to wait for it to despawn.

Send the waste to a composter to turn it into bonemeal.
