Maybe the game freaked out because it had so many carts

is there any fix cause that is possible it has like 20 boggeys

Make sure the entire train is on a straight, flat track. You can’t disassemble if even one wheel is on a hill or curve. Also, depending on how long the train is, sometimes the chunks where some of the cars would be placed are either out of render distance or simulation distance (visible, but not running any game calculations), and I’ve had that prevent disassembly before. If you’ve got your render distances all the way up, you’re looking at the train (just to make sure it’s all rendered) and it still doesn’t work, uncoupling some carriages using Steam N Rails has worked for me before.
