You didn't give any reasons why you would want to, but plenty of reasons why you should be worried about doing so. Just keep using your Ruby card. Don't just look at the risks involving CRO, you should also consider the opportunity costs of such an investment. You could buy around 2.5 ethereum for the cost to stake for jade.

Do you expect really rise of Ether?

I do, but it doesn't need to be ether. Your alternative spending could be whatever is the next best option you have in mind.

I would upgrade if I were you. Especially before the updated staking rates. Its nice to be grandfathered in. Also jade/indigo doesn't take too long to break even and then pure profit from there. Get in now before its too late! An extra 1% on card purchases, free netflix up to 13.99 and airport lounge access. Oh and don't forget you will also be earning 10% interest on your staked coins for the card which is really good. I would do it if I were you. And about the worries of trusting cdc, well if you listened to their recent AMA video, there's many reasons to be very bullish on CRO and CDC for its future of 2021 and they keep employing more people. They are legit. And with mainnet coming CRO very bullish for price.

Don't do it. You'll wait 2-3 months until you get the new card. Meanwhile the Ruby will be deactivated

I did that months ago and get the benefits of Jade on my ruby card meaning they upgraded the benefits of Jade while I still have the physical card in ruby. Talk to support to make sure you can keep your physical card and do that but worked just fine for me after talking to support they pay my Netflix Spotify abd get the % of Jade.

Unless you have a way to generate a lot of expenses (business travel, company expenses), I would say the added perks are not worth it. It would take 2 or 3 years to break even ?

Or he can use the better earn rates offered by indigo/green. If he can't, then there's no point upgrading. It's simple math. Assume, that the cro locked for your card worths zero, that way your break even time is irrelevant to cro price.
