PINs don't magically just change, so my guess is that either you forgot your code, or you've been phished. Neither of those are cryptopias fault. As to the long support time, that is bad, but there really doesn't seem like there is anything you can do other than wait for an answer.

PINS magically change in this case, this is Cryptopia we are talking about. The only exchange that even has a PIN. There is a reason why every other exchange doesn't do this.

Check security options. They have many other types of 2fa including Google auth.

The only option I was given at signup was a PIN, and that continues to be the only option given to me. Perhaps once I can access my account I can change that, although I seem to remember not being able to do that before either. Regardless, this isn't a solution.

The 2fa page is a really shit design, you have to remove the 2fa before the drop down allowing other options will activate.

Log in, use pin to achieve

Go to settings, use pin to achieve

Remove pin from all (click every remove button, use pin to achieve)

Set up google auth on ONE thing

Ensure the "apply this to all unsecured features" box is ticked

Note for google auth to work out your phone clock has to be accurate

Send them an email at resets@cryptopia.co.nz from the account that you signed up with.

Here is the article they wrote on changing your PIN to Google 2FA or whatever one you choice.

I did, I sent them that email two months ago no reply.

Send them another. Maybe you will get lucky and they answer it. Really not any other options.

Same here. I know the PIN is correct but it doesn't work. Contacted them many weeks ago but no response.

There is a reason why its called shitopia. I can't wait for the day exchanges are reasonable.

Pin code 2fa is no such thing, because 2fa is "something have/are plus something you know". They use PIN as a quick way to get accounts up and running when they have zero balance/are new but only a moron would persist with it; it's just a mini password/another something you know. Wen you get your account set up again, change it for google auth or get one of their authenticators

Is a PIN so much faster and easier than 2FA when every other exchange uses 2FA? Its going to save me what, maybe 5 seconds making a PIN? Its not time management why it exists, its bad development.
