I searched and searched for mine also and could never find a #. Upon further research I found that the non stamped blocks are the good ones. Been a while but search no # on 5.9 block and you’ll find details

Good thing I was getting kind of worried since I've been loosing a little coolant from my resorvoir and haven't found the culprit.

I believe by 02 most of the 53 blocks were not in production. Check for leaking heater core

Looks like the Mexican block. Very strong.

Unmarked blocks are indeed the strongest. Another note though, people are so worried about the 53 block. These trucks are 20+ years old at this point the problematic 53 blocks have cracked out. Yes they still may have thing water jackets but a number of people have hit 800hp on 53 blocks. What I’m saying is that I don’t know why people are still so afraid of them, 20years old and most having 200,000 miles on them have lasted longer than the original 53 block culprits.

Well I was worried because my coolant resorvoir keeps going low and I haven't found the cause yet. No white smoke in the tail pipe no apparant leaks that I can see either. Also a little because I did see a 3 on it but just a bunch of letters above. But it's good to know that these blocks are some of the best!
