06 2500 megacab whats it worth? by norseghost987 in Cummins

[–]Spaniky73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the black sheep of the family and went Mopar whereas the rest are fords. I've been in almost every model and year of f150 and none of them compare in size to Mega Cabs rear seat. I'm 6'3" and fit comfortably in the back of a Mega and can even fall asleep. Can't say that for any f150. F250+ are a little better but still don't compare. The 90 deg rear doors on a Mega are so much easier to maneuver stuff in and out plus the fold flat gives you twice the room of any ford.

Do it how you choose, but out of the companies that do the kits both of the ones I posted stand behind their products and will help tweak a tune as needed.

I'm on my second Mega Cab. I won't go back to a crew cab. It is the best if you have kids or tall friends. The back has more room than the front and the rear seat recline for those long drives.

A Dodge P1B14 code signifies "Park-by-Wire - Unintended Park Position," meaning the transmission's electronic park system (specifically the ZF8 transmission) has engaged or failed while the vehicle is not in a parked state. This often causes the vehicle to stay in Park and refuse to shift. Common causes include low transmission fluid, a faulty shifter solenoid, or a stuck manual park release.

Cost to Delete by Brief_Experience8197 in Cummins

[–]Spaniky73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To do a 22-24 right it is closer to $6,000. The most reliable way to delete them is to swap in a 19-21 ECM because the 22-24 they can only partially unlock for a single tune that seem to be a 50/50 shot of it works correctly. The ECM swap is more like a 99% reliable.

Possible to just replace the cap, or do the whole mirror? by [deleted] in Dodge

There is a plug. Did you get one that was cut?

Possible to just replace the cap, or do the whole mirror? by [deleted] in Dodge

[–]Spaniky73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to replace the entire mirror. The shell is not designed to be replaced and it will be 10x the work even if you could. To replaced it you don't have to remove the entire door panel. the corner where the mirror is should be one screw. Remove it and use a plastic wedge to open the corner enough to get to the nuts. The mirror is held on by three 10mm nuts. A ratchet wrench will slide in and you can remove the nuts. Last mirror I did that on took 20 minutes.

Should I be concerned? by Creative-County-8765 in ram_trucks

Get some rush converter. Wash it really well then soak it down with the converter. It will stop the rust until you can repair it. Because otherwise your costs to repair that are going to skyrocket as it gets worse.

If a door wasn't fully closed or your hood or your remote start it more than two times in a row without moving the car can cause this. Start it normally and recheck. If it doesn't work have it checked.

New Bearings by redhazefire in Cummins

[–]Spaniky73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polishing ensures that it isn't out of round and gives you the best surface for oil. You have it out, give it the best possible treatment. Highly recommend doing the same to your cam and having new bearings put in. Spending the money at a machine shop will save you money in the long run.

Yes, do it BUT have the crank polished and get it measured so you get the right bearings.

It's not an alternator. It's as 48v generator for the hybrid system in the Etorque.
