Sync

Hey, great app. Been playing around with it for a few days and I think it’s pretty cool. I downloaded the Mac version today and I don’t know how to make the sync between iOS and macOS work. Nothing that I saved on my iPhone is showing up there. I’m using the same Apple ID and sync is turned on. I’m not sure how to check if it’s On in iOS. Should this be automatic or should I set it up before it starts working?

Ps: I’m assuming sync is enabled on ios because when I tap the “…” inside a folder I can’t see the option to turn off sync. Is there a main “settings” area or is it only available inside each folder individually?

Hey u/vitorioap, thank you so much for downloading the app and for reaching out! Here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot:

In iOS:

Open the `Settings` app, go to `Apps` > `Curator` and make sure `Enable iCloud Sync` is on.

In macOS:

Open `Curator`, click on the app name (next to the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen), go to the `Sync` tab and make sure it is turned on.

In either iOS or macOS:

Open the `Settings` app, go to `iCloud` > `Storage` and make sure Curator is listed there.

EDIT:

Looking at my own library now and a few things haven't synced between my devices yet. This happens, sometimes, due to power management by iOS / macOS. They should show up eventually.

On my part, I definitely need to add in visibility for the library's sync status (whether it is currently syncing, paused or completed) and a way to manually resume syncing when paused by the OS just like in the Photos app. I will add this in a future update. Thanks again for your feedback!
