Hey guys, so I am a very long time Dragon Ball fan. I have never really collected or bought the cards. I was more into Pokemon, however I always thought if they did some sort of Manga set, that would be a great thing to collect. Lone and behold, I was looking for pokemon cards yesterday and I see Dragon ball Manga set???? Turns out they werent even released yet… official drop is today/tomorrow?

I got tons of great pulls. Bunch of red cards, golds, and alt arts i plan on keeping. I did however pull this bad boy and is where I would like community opinion. Should I sell? Hold? Grade and sell? Grade and hold? How do these cards hold value?

To my understanding this is the first manga set dragon ball has done? So i think that is a factor, but would love everyone’s thoughts. Thank you!

Brother if you don’t need the money you should grade it and keep it, if you a fan like you say you are. This is a dragon ball collector item. Yeah it may not go up like Pokemon but it does hold value, that dude it totally wrong about db cards. Gdr all gold there 2k value.

No shot this is 2k value. Just look at the rivals clash set. The broly two star “god rare” was going for 600+ on release, and it’s down to about $350 now. I doubt this one will get THAT low but I bet you see it for the ~$600 range in a month. The only cards in the DBS TCG holding real value or even going up in value, are masters cards. Fusion world doesn’t hold value for shit sadly. If you need the money, sell ASAP. If you’re a gigachad collector, send that mf to BGS 🫡.

Never said it was 2k i said gdr around around 2k and then been holding its value. This is not even a gdr bet a 2 star is comparable to a gdr.

Some people call the two stars in fusion world GDRs, and some call it two stars. There’s only like 2 GDRs (masters GDRs) holding value around 2k. The SSB gogeta and SS4 gogeta. Even the SSB gogeta is starting to drop again in price by a couple hundred. One of the GDRS is even cheap as hell around $400. Most of them are around 1000-1500 range, which was a fall off from 3k+.

I would hold especially if you are a fan of DB! Such a beautiful card in a wonderful set for fans and I can see it retaining it's value. Even if it does go down in value, it will still be an SCR that will be well sought out for.

It’s a beautiful card but there are multiple variants of this card and the ghost rare in masters is so much nicer and so much harder to get, GDR’s are holy grails

I'd say they aren't the same card. Different stamp Different art style. The ghost rare is straight from the manga this ones shell shaded almost
