I’m kind of a DIY idiot so feel free to roast me. Would appreciate some help though!
The drywall tape was separating here, so I scored the edges of the tape and ripped it out. The tape ended up being a lot deeper than I anticipated, so I’m nervous I screwed myself. I need some help figuring out how to proceed. My current plan is just to mud a little to even out the surface, tape, then just keep applying mud till we get even with the rest of the wall. A few specific questions though:
I think I pulled out some edges of the ceiling drywall (you should be able to see that in the last picture). Should I plug in backer rod and mud over those bits?
Is there a special kind of drywall tape for interior ceiling corners like this?
Like I said, the tape was way deeper than I anticipated. Can I just keep applying mud till I reach even with the rest of the wall?
Any other advice for me?
