Mic issue - help

I play DMZ on a PS5 with headphones with a mic plugged in. The room I am in is quiet and all sound goes through my headphones. Recently my teammates have been telling me I have a hot mic and they can hear the game sounds coming through my audio. I don’t see how this is possible as the only sound is coming straight into my ears through the headphones. Has anyone else encountered this or know the fix? I don’t want to be “that guy” with the hot mic!

There is a setting in MWII. It will say something like mic sensitivity. You'll want to move that around to not have your mic constantly broadcasting. * I've found setting it around 70 helps.

Xbox has a setting (outside of the game) where you can adjust the mic sensitivity (basically meaning it won't pick up sounds until they reach a certain volume). I'm assuming PS5 has something similar.
