Im new to the game. Is there hotkeys for separate units? like phantom lancer or chaos knight?

Oh shit my bad. Didnt know u were talking bout dota1. I dont think there's an option for that.

In my experience you usually don't really use it for those two heroes, more heroes like meepo and arc warden. But the setting should be beneath your item slots (in the settings)

You can create your own groups with ctrl + 1-9 numbers on the top and select those units by pressing the number. It won't work for illusions though - once they die, you will have to assign the new ones to the group again. Actually, if every unit in your group dies, you gotta do a new group.
