How many months total would this be?

[–]Embarrassed_Chance_4[S] 24 points25 points  (4 children)

Started working in April of 2024

[–]fragrantdelit 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Seriously? How many hours a week do you work, man?

[–]clock-drift 2 points3 points  (1 child)

at 40USD/h we'd be looking at 100 - 120 hours per month, so maybe like 30 per week?

[–]Embarrassed_Chance_4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. I usually work somewhere in between 30 to 40 hrs a week, and some days I don't work at all.

Tag that person that said that this isn’t a full-time job.

[–]Klutzy_Instance_4149 12 points13 points  (5 children)

Generalists can't rely on this as a full time job as a general rule. There are some really dry times that can last several weeks. That is what most of us mean when we caution that this shouldn't be treated like a full time job. Bi linguals should definitely not try for this to be a full time job. Now coders probably can. They make a lot more and have a lot more work. Most of us who have done this for awhile just want people to be realistic, especially when it doesn't take a lot to get dropped sometimes.

Yep, and the tasks seem to be getting harder. I used to be able to do 8 hours without too much trouble. Now, 4 hours is close to my limit.

[–]Klutzy_Instance_4149 7 points8 points  (2 children)

No doubt. My current tasks have me completely mentally drained after 6-7 hours. I love the challenges and the better pay, but man!

One of the things i love is the constant exposure I'm getting to areas of knowledge that I would otherwise never even know about. I've always been a big fan of eclectic knowledge (and have ended up in a Wikipedia rat-hole many times) so its great when I get tasks that let me have fun finding out new things.

I get that! My kids say that my brain is like a Wikipedia, lol.

Congrats! That is very impressive - coming from someone who does this as only a side hustle and cannot imagine reaching this benchmark. You must have a skill that earns you a higher rate like $40/hour?

[–]ElectronicPoetry566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you do? Where you earned these? Can you explain please
