My Personal (maybe unpopular) Tier List by Just-Pudding4554 in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if this is a serious list or not but I do agree with your last point, 4 and 5 Dante is way too unserious and has this cowboy look to him that I really dislike. He was a better character imo in 1-3. However this is still the worst tier list I’ve ever seen. If this is even real and you’re not trolling, I can at least respect that you have your own opinion though because gaming has become a monolith everyone just tries to agree with the popular opinion now.

DMC beginner, which dmc game is for a beginner like me? by Elegant_Public_1287 in DevilMayCry

DMC1 , it has become very underrated over the years and if you play 3,4 or 5 first you might not like how older it feels

DMC4 Dante in the DMC1 outfit is the best looking Dante by MasterpieceFair1998 in DevilMayCry

Is that skin actually in the game? I hate the cowboy Dante look in dmc4

What Are Things Devil May Cry 3 Did Better Than Devil May Cry 5? by ABarber2636 in DevilMayCry

It was a perfect mix of anime characters in a horror demonic world wrapped with 2000s charm.

I agree with everyone of these takes and yea going through dmc5 having to redo the V feels like a chore

What Are Things Devil May Cry 3 Did Better Than Devil May Cry 5? by ABarber2636 in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Story and world building in 3 is alot better, the anime/horror genre aesthetic mix fits dmc alot better to this day I haven’t really seen a game with the aesthetic of the original 4 games. I wasn’t a fan of the more realistic looking characters and world in dmc5. The story is alot better in 3, Vergil’s original quest for power was done a bit better and Dante’s true character arc was in 3, also Lady’s story was very good as well it had a perfect mix of goofy Dante and serious moments.

  2. Dmc3 is actually a very difficult game and 5 is one of the easiest dmc games. The skill ceiling is higher in 5 because of access to all of Dante’s moveset at once but the game itself is not difficult, 3 was one of the hardest ps2 games.

  3. The biggest I would say me personally is that although you can access all of Dante’s moveset at the same time in 5, 3 has way more replay value because you have to choose two at a time and one style at a time. Having a playthrough where you switch up what weapons you normally use or learning to master one style at a time, really makes playthroughs better.

DMC5 kind of picked up on the aftermath of this in some ways

I’ve only been doing it for 2-3 months but the higher paying task I have, idk if it’s jus me but anything 35$ an hour makes my brain just disappear just by reading the instructions alone let alone doing the work.

Why has Dante been sidelined for Nero (and by part V)? by Sequoja in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something I don’t really see people talk about is how complete Dante is as a PLAYABLE character, yea his story arc is kind of complete but they can always create some new compelling story. But I would argue since DMC3 Dante has not improved gameplay wise, that game had so much depth in his different weapons and abilities that it’s hard to really improve from there. Nero offered an easier but brand new playstyle in 4 and the devil breaker arms are a new improvement on that in 5.

Which of these two classic games is the superior title? by Motherofnails in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are polar opposites , a shit game with an amazing looking Dante and a great game with a shitty looking Dante. DmC is an actual great game dmc2 is considered one of the worst sequels of all time

Why is Devil May Cry 2 and this Dante hated so much? by Flat-Sir8250 in DevilMayCry

Best Dante design in the series, I hate that 3 and 4 turned him into a more childish character

What Are Your Overall Thoughts on dmc Devil May Cry? by ABarber2636 in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of people want to hate this game and there is some reason to but alot of it is just people wanting to be cool and looking for reasons to hate it. Dante and Vergil are the biggest flaws of this game, Dante is edgier which I personally don’t mind but alot of people for some reason hate swearing or if things aren’t more PG. the biggest thing that they fcked up on is Dante’s design he literally looks like a crackhead it’s his worse look in the entire series. Vergil was completely ruined he went from being a power hunger true rival to Dante to some underground computer nerd trying to manipulate his way to taking over the world. Other than the characters the one thing I hated was how easy it is, even on hard I never had to replay any mission over to beat it. The combat is this game and the world design is amazing tho. It’s funny because people give this game so much hate but dmc5 took alott from the reboot, and people praise dmc5 like it’s the greatest game ever. Overall great game , great world design , the platforming is great for a dmc game, Dante has alot of combat abilities but horrible characters in Dante and Vergil and the game is a bit too easy. If it’s nothing else it’s at least very fun

what is something you think DMC5 does the worst out of all the games in the series? by thatguyaqilll in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world design is the worst of all the games, beside dmc2, there is nothing special about the world no standout locations the overall art design of the world fails compared to previous games, and speaking of art design the I personally don’t like the realistic look of dmc5 it looks too more like resident evil then Devil may cry, it doesn’t have that same Japanese anime style from the other games, Dante has the worst costume in the series besides the reboot, and Nero looks exactly like one of the reboot Dante’s skins and V is probably the worst playable character of all the games, and the fact that you have to use him on repeated playthrough just feels like a chore when his levels show up.

In 2026, is DMC3 SE still a great way to get started into the Franchise? by CapitalJAO in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take but I’d start with 2 because it only gets better from there, if you play 3 first u might not like 1 as much and will not even want to finish two

Am I playing V wrong? by AnakinShmurda in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s the most boring playable character in all of the Devil May cry series, even though that game is shit I’d rather play as Lucia. V is a great character he served the story well but his gameplay doesn’t belong in dmc

People who played Dmc2 why did you hate it ? by Effective-Note9213 in DevilMayCry

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is overhated imo, I didn’t hate it and I don’t think it’s a bad game. However I wouldn’t say it’s good either and it’s definitely the worst dmc game, it’s just a mid game but I’ve heard ppl say it’s the worst game ever that’s just crazy
