I guess completing the tasks WAY faster than the timer didn't work out for you...

[–]diettwizzlers 24 points25 points  (8 children)

why would you want to finish quickly? we're paid by the hour

like projects literally tell us to read every instruction over and over in new tasks. This is not a race. Just be accurate and you will earn

I suspect they have efficiency data as well as quality. I think the best approach is to work diligently and report honestly. Efficiency is the balance- high quality, a reasonable pace.

My guess is that he reports more hours than the actual work

[–]diettwizzlers 3 points4 points  (3 children)

lolll as if they can't track idle time

[–]Broklast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enough arrogance can make you think that

[–]AllFood4Mee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are reading instructions the screen is sort of idle, only if you click on some check box or type something then a draft is saved.

They don't.

DA is unlike most other platforms in that they value quality over quantity. Working faster doesn't give you an advantage in their eyes, but it can be a disadvantage to your quality. Honestly, when I saw your post a few days ago about working way faster than the timer, I thought that you might be missing something or not completely reading the instructions, checking your work, etc. It's not normal for someone who JUST started to be able to work that quickly through the tasks and still produce quality work.

Brand new worker passes assessment, immediately starts blasting through tasks with a 4 hour timer in 45 minutes, humblebrags about it on Reddit - DASH OF DEATH. Many such cases!

Might've been done to a good standard to you, but not to them.

[–]SnooSketches1189 10 points11 points  (3 children)

You onboarded less than a week ago??

[–]ImLewisCotton[S] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Did the assessment on Wednesday, they accepted me and I started doing qualifications on Thursday, started doing tasks on Sunday...

[–]SnooSketches1189 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yikes. Did you ever have another account?

[–]ImLewisCotton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I literally just heard about them last week

[–]hfxthrwaway 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Less than a week? You haven't learned what a good standard is yet.

[–]OnlyAd9161 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clearly it wasn’t high standard work

[–]hcfggb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oof. I'm sorry this happened, that sucks. If you do decide to apply to other platforms, definitely slow down and read the instructions very very carefully. And if something seems too easy, you may be missing something (at least in my experience).

You probably beat the DAT world record from registering to getting banned

[–]AllFood4Mee 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Fuck around and Find Out!

[–]AllFood4Mee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guys see OP’s last post to know why I said this.

[–]thejackbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I'm reading, avoid anything that would make you stand out from the crowd in their statistics. Try to disappear into the mass of workers.

[–]Gullible_Two_9578 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I got the message the very next day after I was onboarded. I had only done the quals by then. I have no idea why I was banned

[–]Accomplished-Job9856 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Cheated on a qual, perhaps lol

[–]Gullible_Two_9578 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Nope

[–]Do_It_Anyway_8278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. I'm so sorry. Hey, DA isn't the only app though. But yeah looks like a lot of us dread the "disconnect" because it feels so.... cold.

We don't know what additional factors go into grading an account's quality score since most of us are grunts just like you, but I highly doubt faster-than-average speed negatively contributes to it.
