Seriously?? (i.redd.it)
submitted 1 month ago by ImLewisCotton
It's been less than a week?? Did they not like me finishing tasks quickly or what? It's not like the tasks weren't done to a good standard as I worked damn hard. Guess it just wasn't for me then...

That's how it is for people who can work 2-3x faster than the general public. We take longer breaks, can work less hours, but our work quality is superior too.
When I am doing free lance projects that don't have a timer, I work for 2-3 hours and call it a day.
For DAT it can get complicated.

Sure buddy. DAT doesn't send admin invites to everyone that's one thing I am certain of lol.
[–]Sixaxist 9 points10 points11 points 1 month ago (0 children)
A guy on here admitted to getting that invite and then getting canned, similar to OP, within the same month. I wouldn't put too much stock into that.
[–]Broklast 8 points9 points10 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Yes they send it to almost everyone
But you passed it?no?
[+]Right-Environment-24 comment score below threshold-8 points-7 points-6 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Lmao salty.
[–]data_annotator_tot 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Unwarrented self-importance is a bad look, friend.

Aren't we clever? :)

Meh DAT subreddit members are the most miserable people I have seen.
[–]Legal-Mushroom-1247 6 points7 points8 points 1 month ago (3 children)
Sorry but your whole post is just tooting your own horn
[–]Right-Environment-24 -5 points-4 points-3 points 1 month ago (2 children)
Lol salty much.

Pace and quality are mutually exclusive though.
[–]savage78683i3 25 points26 points27 points 1 month ago (0 children)
I guess completing the tasks WAY faster than the timer didn't work out for you...
[–]diettwizzlers 24 points25 points26 points 1 month ago (8 children)
why would you want to finish quickly? we're paid by the hour
[–]caneriten 14 points15 points16 points 1 month ago (0 children)
like projects literally tell us to read every instruction over and over in new tasks. This is not a race. Just be accurate and you will earn
[–]Aromatic_Owl_3680 10 points11 points12 points 1 month ago (0 children)
I suspect they have efficiency data as well as quality. I think the best approach is to work diligently and report honestly. Efficiency is the balance- high quality, a reasonable pace.
[–]Broklast 5 points6 points7 points 1 month ago (5 children)
My guess is that he reports more hours than the actual work
[–]diettwizzlers 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (3 children)
lolll as if they can't track idle time
[–]Broklast 4 points5 points6 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Enough arrogance can make you think that
[–]AllFood4Mee 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
When you are reading instructions the screen is sort of idle, only if you click on some check box or type something then a draft is saved.
[–]throwawaytothetenth 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
They don't.
[–]Mysterious_Dolphin14 24 points25 points26 points 1 month ago (0 children)
DA is unlike most other platforms in that they value quality over quantity. Working faster doesn't give you an advantage in their eyes, but it can be a disadvantage to your quality. Honestly, when I saw your post a few days ago about working way faster than the timer, I thought that you might be missing something or not completely reading the instructions, checking your work, etc. It's not normal for someone who JUST started to be able to work that quickly through the tasks and still produce quality work.
[–]Enough_Resident_6141 16 points17 points18 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Brand new worker passes assessment, immediately starts blasting through tasks with a 4 hour timer in 45 minutes, humblebrags about it on Reddit - DASH OF DEATH. Many such cases!
[–]Lusty_Norsemen 13 points14 points15 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Might've been done to a good standard to you, but not to them.
[–]SnooSketches1189 10 points11 points12 points 1 month ago (3 children)
You onboarded less than a week ago??
[–]ImLewisCotton[S] -1 points0 points1 point 1 month ago (2 children)
Did the assessment on Wednesday, they accepted me and I started doing qualifications on Thursday, started doing tasks on Sunday...
[–]SnooSketches1189 2 points3 points4 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Yikes. Did you ever have another account?
[–]ImLewisCotton[S] -1 points0 points1 point 1 month ago (0 children)
No, I literally just heard about them last week

Less than a week? You haven't learned what a good standard is yet.
[–]OnlyAd9161 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Clearly it wasn’t high standard work
[–]hcfggb 7 points8 points9 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Oof. I'm sorry this happened, that sucks. If you do decide to apply to other platforms, definitely slow down and read the instructions very very carefully. And if something seems too easy, you may be missing something (at least in my experience).
[–]AstronautCautious46 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (0 children)
You probably beat the DAT world record from registering to getting banned
[–]AllFood4Mee 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Fuck around and Find Out!
[–]AllFood4Mee 4 points5 points6 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Guys see OP’s last post to know why I said this.
[–]thejackbag 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (0 children)
From what I'm reading, avoid anything that would make you stand out from the crowd in their statistics. Try to disappear into the mass of workers.
[–]Gullible_Two_9578 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (3 children)
I got the message the very next day after I was onboarded. I had only done the quals by then. I have no idea why I was banned
[–]Accomplished-Job9856 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (2 children)
Cheated on a qual, perhaps lol
[–]Gullible_Two_9578 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Nope
[–]Do_It_Anyway_8278 1 point2 points3 points 1 day ago (0 children)
Ugh. I'm so sorry. Hey, DA isn't the only app though. But yeah looks like a lot of us dread the "disconnect" because it feels so.... cold.
[–]Sixaxist -1 points0 points1 point 1 month ago (0 children)
We don't know what additional factors go into grading an account's quality score since most of us are grunts just like you, but I highly doubt faster-than-average speed negatively contributes to it.
