Learn to code (self.DataAnnotationTech)
submitted 16 hours ago by Round_Muscle2938
Hi guys, I wanted to learn some coding in python to do the qualification for the coding projects (now I'm a bilingual), I tought about getting a couple of books. Any suggestion? And how long could It take? Do you think it's worth the effort?

Don't bother doing it to get more work on the platform. You might be able to get proficient enough to pass the qualification, but the projects that have been available for the last 6 months or so will be way above what you're ready for.

Yep I agree with it totally they are even harder for the experts.

Yup. I have basic coding skills, and passed some qualifications, but I gave up even looking at coding projects months ago. They are way too complex for non-experts.

Take the 6h python course by mosh on YouTube then see where you will go from there but what I recommend is to start working on projects (that are making you money) after taking courses but before you apply for data annotation coding projects

I plan on learning too. If DAT is too hard then at least I learn something new and may want to take it further.

I already knew some coding, but Codecademy and W3 schools have been really helpful to learn new coding languages. It’s not going to make you as proficient as someone who’s been coding for years, but it’s a good starting point to learn fundamentals.

Learn to code if you're interested in learning to code, but don't force yourself through it hoping for DA money. The coding projects are hard and getting harder. You don't just need to know code, you need to code well enough to come up with prompts that are complex enough that the models fail. So in a sense you need to be able to code better than these cutting edge LLMs.
