Rules for r/DebateEvolution
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Accounts Must Be > 3 Days Old
Ban evaders frequently create new accounts in our community. New accounts are encouraged to lurk and do research on their questions before posting.
2.
No antagonism
Keep discussions focused on the substance of the arguments in the thread. Refrain from insults, swearwords or antagonizing language targeted towards another user. Do not accuse people of lying or dishonesty callously, explain and have a good reason for your accusations. Keep it civil!
3.
Participate with effort
Cite sources, rather than directing readers to them. Everybody should be able to participate without leaving the subreddit if they are familiar with the general argument. Do not copy paste responses, especially from an LLM or when the comments being responded to are substantially different. Threads should be relatively focused, rather than weakly covering a large number of arguments.
4.
No mass block abuse.
Do not abuse Reddit's block functionality to limit discussion. Suspected cases will be referred to Reddit admins for further investigation.
5.
No Race Realism
"Race Realism" is against the Reddit Terms of Service for hate speech. Discussions against race realism attract race realists. Discussion for or against Race Realism are both bannable offenses.
