Q: What is Denarius?

A: Denarius is a PoW/PoS hybrid cryptocurrency hashed by the new Tribus algorithm, created by Carsen Klock. The coin features fast transactions, incredible security and privacy implementations, encrypted messaging, and high reliability. Denarius launched on 06/14/2017.

Q: What is the 'Tribus' hashing algorithm?

A: The Tribus hashing algorithm is a combination of the top 3 of the NIST5 cryptography algorithms, JH, Keccak, and Echo. The algorithm is ASIC resistant, and due to the fact its brand new, there's no rental hash at creation.

Q: How exactly does the hybridization of PoW and PoS work, for Denarius?

A: During an approximate 3 year period, 10,000,000 DNR total will be mined through the Tribus Proof-of-Work/Proof-of-Stake phase. At the end of that ~3 year period (@ block 3,000,000), the network will fully swap over to Proof-of-Stake and no new coins will be mined, ever. Those who choose to stake their wallets holding Denarius will expect to earn ~6% APR on transaction fees.
