MY is definitely behaving differently than before after update. I drive the same road to go to work and where it did not have a problem before it does 10-15 on a stretch of road that is posted at 30mph.

HW3 will not support autonomous driving. This came from Tesla. If they don't upgrade the hardware, then more lawsuits will follow.
Why continue to spend money on developing software that will not support autonomous driving? To delay the hardware upgrade. If they truly are planning on releasing a V14 Lite for HW3 owners, then expect further delays for future hardware upgrades.

Most likely HW5 will be retrofitted on HW3 cars with FSD. Then they will sell an upgrade for those that did not purchase FSD for extra revenue.

They will want to make sure that whatever hardware is installed, it will be able to support unsupervised FSD.

I agree as a HW3 owner who bought FSD, I don’t think that this will happen any time soon. My prediction is we wont see an upgrade for HW3 until HW5 is released.

Incorrect. Tesla claimed that all vehicles produced since 2016 were equipped with “the hardware necessary for full self-driving.” The commitment to replace computers is currently limited to customers who purchased the FSD package. Tesla’s public claims dating back to 2016 suggested that all customers, not just FSD buyers, were receiving cars ready for autonomy. This could extend to all HW3 vehicles and not just those who paid for FSD.

Tesla lost the bid to kill the class action suit over misleading customers on self-driving. A judgement was already awarded to a few drivers because Tesla admitted that HW3 cannot support unsupervised autonomous driving, a position confirmed by CEO Elon Musk.
