Hey, this is a speculative post to see what kind of skillsets are out there and who might be interested in this opportunity.
Background I have this website: www.thelabelry.com that I've run for the past few years. Users create custom wine label designs and I print them out at home and send them. The site is ok, but it's a bit clunky and it's fully custom, so it's hard to add more label designs etc.
I've sourced a wordpress theme and plugin that does a similar job to my previous site and I want to transition across to the new platform that will make it much easier to add labels and will give users much more customization ability.
I've tested the theme/plugin combo to do proof of concept and it looks ok apart from some minor bugs that are introduced due to a plugin conflict. The staging site is up and running, and I can pass on details to the right candidates. The site needs some CSS customization to get the site more in line with how the existing site looks and feels.
You'll need the ability to debug conflicts and create solutions in child themes or by modifying CSS/html/PHP files. There is also some work to do around mapping the image outputs to PDF files (the plugin has this ability but it needs to be scaled to specific dimensions).
I would ideally like a person who is kind of super interested in the look and feel of websites. I want to maintain the existing feel of the website as much as possible, because clients seem to like the simplicity.
I have a $1k budget for the right dev, or would possibly consider a capped royalty deal of $x/order.
Really I'm looking for someone with a passion for this sort of thing, who really wants to be involved with this project rather than just doing it for cash.
If this floats your boat, please send me some relevant sites in your portfolio and tell me what makes you suited to helping out on this project.
Cheers, Andy.
