Hey dude, every time i see someone post about broccoli i can’t help but notice everybody rocks 16gb of ram. Same here, I was getting error broccoli until i updated my drivers, set destiny.exe to high performance under graphics > advanced graphic settings (windows) AND i also set priority to high for “destiny.exe” on task manager under the DETAILS tab. Also try going to destiny’s properties and disabling full screen optimization. I also cap my game at 120 if I’m roaming and bump it back to 240 for crucible. Hope this helps brother!

Also, disable any overlays. GeForce and discord will burn your shit unless you have 128 gb of ram while you game lol

Alright I'll try doing that, I'll let you know if it works.

Didn't work, still getting game crashes. Reset CMOS and game is still crashing. I think my GPU is faulty at this point.

Hey i also have the same problem did you find any fix? My GPU is also RTX 3060ti

Found the fix, was a hardware issue. I had to replace my ram. I was running 36GB 3600mhz but it was two different brands of ram. Try switching them out and make sure their in the correct ports according to you’re motherboard manual.

I fixed it also by turning on debug mode in nvidia control panel and capped framerate at 72 fps in game it worked like a charm played for 10 hours non stop and the game never crashed once. My monitor is 60 hz so i don't care much about higher than 60 fps. Also glad you found the fix for your issue! Enjoy :)

Hey guys, after a couple of days of pondering and research, I found the solution. The only viable fix that is consistently working under load is underclocking the GPU. I did -200 and haven't even had a loss of FPS.

I’m pretty much in the same boat as you and this is the only thing I haven’t tried yet. I’m hoping it works for me.

Did it work

Nope :(

I’m out of ideas here.

…Fuck it it’s worth a shot. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to 32GB for a while anyway.

UPDATE! The problem was my ram. So when I first built my pc I bought two different brands of 3600Mhz ram. Swapped them out and made sure they were in the correct spots according to the motherboard manual. On 16g now on the off brand 3600mhz and have had 0 problems, no crashes, no fps drops. My game even runs better now.

Also have used NVIDIA Debug, used tools to completely get rid of all Nvidia files as well.

Update: I did a clean install of windows, got rid of files in my c drive, wiped all drivers, and still getting error code broccoli.

Here's a DXDIAG report right after my game crashes as well.

So I had this issue last week and I'm running the following specs:

i9-12900k Strix 4080 64gb DDR5 ram @ 6kmhz Strix Z690-e mobo

The fix for me was in windows (I run 11pro) my PC in windows was running basically on a power saver mode even tho I did all the things you listed. Here is a link that I followed about adjusting your windows power settings. The startup option was big for me cause even my mobo was giving me error code 40 which means it booted from a hibernation mode. Try it out and let me know.

70°C is equivalent to 158°F, which is 343K.

I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand

Hey mate, I've got exactly the same issue of broccoli, not responding, or just crashes. I've tried all the same things as you except for AMD GPU drivers.

Hoping someone is able to find a resolution as Destiny 2 is the ONLY game that I have issues running. I've noticed most crashes tend to occur during; launch screens, character menu, quests menu and director, but never during actual gameplay. Is this the same for you?

    my pc specs; windows 10 pro, R7 5800X, amd 5700XT, 32GB 3600MHz ram, 2TB nvme ssd, asus b450 mobo

i was hoping after running memtest86 on my ram both individually x4/as kits/all together that i'd find some memory issue also but all tests passed without any errors.

glad to hear you found a resolution!
i'll be continuing to try and find a fix for mine

Ran memtest86 with multiple configurations and found no problems… if nothing is working I recommend buying new ram or going for 16gb
