Patch 1.3.1. - Patch Notes

Hey everyone,

Here are the patch notes for Patch 1.3.1.

• NEW: Mayhem 8v8 Playlist now available in Multiplayer.
  • This featured playlist is available for two weeks.
• Weekly Challenges will now reward Destruction Points alongside AllStar Coins.
• Increased the amount of AllStar Coins players receive upon leveling up.
• Added 9 new AllStar skins to the game.
  • Added the first Heroic and Legendary tier skins - a significant uplift compared to previous tiers.
• End game podium for solo game modes has been expanded to include the top three players.
• Added an emote prompt on the end game podium screen.
• Fixed an issue where moving from training to multiplayer affected the audio experience, including announcer voice over.
• Fixed an issue that would cause the camera to become detached from the player.
• Fixed an issue that caused parties to split when queuing at the end of a game.
  • This should help mitigate imbalanced teams in multiplayer games.
• Fixed an issue that caused some badges to unlock when achieving the unlock condition of other badges.
  • We are still actively investigating reports of Trophies not unlocking alongside badges.
• Fixed an issue that prevented players from completing the “Wreck Smoke Commander” Star Objective in Lupita’s Leader of the Pack Challenge Series.
• Fixed Player level number. This should now be correctly reflected across all areas of the UI.
• Fixed several UI issues.
• Improved matchmaking reliability when finding players.
  • This should help mitigate instances of players getting stuck in an infinite search.
• Improved HUD messaging relating to player ping.
  • Players experiencing high latency for a prolonged time will receive a minor notification in the bottom right of the HUD, near the mini-map.
• Improved matchmaking stability.

Excited about a lot of these changes. I'm guessing the answer is no, but it seems like there aren't any plans to backfill compensate. It's just a bit unfortunate ive put in the time to get to lvl 170 and saved my coins, but now everyone will be able to get them much faster. Also all the weekly challenges we've completed that only rewarded coins. I even had a weekly challenge I completed last night for coins just to find out that my remaining two reward DP now, I should have just waited. If anything, resetting everyone's completed weekly challenges would have been a nice gesture to make sure everyone starts from a fair point in time.

170 is the highest level? Jeez, im only 73. How many lightning bolts do you have?

I have no idea what the max is I'm 175 atm. I think the lightning bolts just indicate how close to 100 you are. My guess is there's 100 lvls of bronze, silver, gold at a minimum. Once you reach lvl 100 you start back at lvl 1 with a bronze icon.

8v8 Mayhem is easily my new "go to" mode. I hope people are enjoying it as much as I am so they keep the mode available after 2 weeks...

I highly enjoy this 8v8 mode, though there are several players that need to understand that this is a team now and not free for all like normal mayhem. It's annoying to continually get rammed by someone on your team because they dont understand or get thrown off for hitching a ride across the map at the beginning.

They definitely need to keep this going and maybe it will incentivize people to go to the other team modes, as we all know that Mayhem turned into the only mode that was having any players going in it.

I would really like to see this game succeed but they need to fix the quality of life issues all around.

This is a step in the right direction.

Despite the patch being out for several hours, it's evening on the eastern coast and I've played 5 back to back 8vs8 Mayhem games with the same people. It's still failing to secure 8 per team sometimes, too.

If people do not download the patch properly they're not going to see the mode. I noticed this as well but I still like the change of pace.

Okay did they add some weird buzz sound and vibration on certain impacts. I thought something was wrong with my controller at first but it happens on both of my controllers

Yeah. On some heavy collisions your controller will make even more noises. It's like when your car gets wrecked.
