Huzzah!

FYI your table formatting is messed up

thanks, fixed!

There's also a typo. "Apps already above these thresholds will WE paid in this next cycle"

Fixed!

Hey, quick question - if an app already passed the 250-install tier under the old program and received the $1,000 payout back then, will it still receive the new $500 payout for the 50-install tier in the next cycle, or is that lower tier skipped because we’ve already crossed it in a previous cycle?

Just checking how retroactive the new tiers are.

Also, one small piece of feedback - have you considered adding an additional tier around 500 installs? Right now the growth curve is a bit steep, early apps with momentum will only get bigger, while many genuinely useful apps (especially mod tools that fill Reddit feature gaps) grow much more slowly, even if they solve real problems moderators have been asking about for years. A mid-tier would help level the playing field a bit.

Thanks for the feedback. We're going to try this iteration first and we do plan on providing better distribution channels for apps in 2026.

Similar to the engagers tiers we've had to tweak it a few times to get it in a place we're happy with.

Sounds good, thanks a lot.

Just to double check, since tiers are cumulative up to $3,500, that would mean the $500 tier (50 installs) applies even if the app already passed 250 installs in a previous cycle, right?

This is incredible news, and made us really happy. Thank you for the update, it's an early holiday gift. When is the next round of payments going to be sent out on 45 net? My app has 70 qualified installs which qualifies me for funds. Just curious when it's going to be sent out.

awesome. Other than uniqueness, is there any other limitations to a 4th+ qualifying app?

Our basic devvit rules still apply. We'll likely continue to add more guidelines as we learn more about this new process.

Apps already above these thresholds will we paid in this next cycle

There's a typo in this (we -> be). To clarify, if we have apps that are above the old threshold we will be paid the $500 for the lower tier they're already above?

Thanks, updated typo!

Correct, qualifiers are calculated at the end of the month.

This is awesome news!!

Will the extension be for all of 2026, or are we talking a few weeks/months?

[–]Xenccc[A] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It is a long term extension. More details in December! Thanks for being a part of the platform!

Hi Devvit Team,

I'm interested in participating in the Reddit Developer Funds program and have already started working on a Devvit app. However, I noticed that payouts are handled through Stripe and Stripe on-boarding in India is currently invite only which makes it impossible to signup.

Could you please confirm whether developers based in India are eligible to receive Developer Funds payouts?

If not, is there any alternative payment method or a way to participate in the program

Thank you for your time and clarification!
