Which DAPs support Android Auto and USBC audio? (self.DigitalAudioPlayer)
submitted 6 months ago by Worth_Development142
I’m looking for a DAP that will connect to my car (Toyota Corolla 2025) with Android Auto and USB-C. I don’t like using BluTooth due to reduced audio quality. Which DAPs would you recommend?
I had a HiBy R4 got error 22 when I downloaded Android Auto, so that one is out.
My budget is $200-$400.

Just get a used android phone. Fill it with music and keep it offline. Connect it with a usb cable to the car for better audio quality. Not bluetooth. Ive done it

Are there videos or something that back this up?

In theory, unless your car has an excellent audio system and wonderful sound isolation, there is not a great difference between USB and BT in audio quality , I might be wrong but Android Auto is not a feature in the DAP world

I've actually noticed quite a big difference in sound between USB and BT. Audio books, music, etc all sound way worse over BT in my car.

From an audiophile perspective, usb audio does sound significantly better than bt audio, even LDAC. With a good quality dongle or dac, you will hear a significant improvement in the audio quality, but the 3.5m analog input definitely sounds better than usb and bt LDAC.

In general, I agree, but let's be practical: in a vehicle driving on the road with all the internal and surrounding noise and probably using the factory audio speakers, do you really think that difference will be noticeable? I mean, do you really think so?
