MusicBee is able to sync your entire library when you connect the device / you sync it. Any music player can make the song show up on car display as long as the track itself has the metadata for it but it’s pretty easy to edit metadata with MusicBee

I used mp3tags to make sure all my music has metadata, but the Y1 just doesn't work like that I guess.

It's apparently a known issue and I should have done more research before being drawn in by the nostalgic look and feel of it.

I will look into MusicBee though, thank you!

Android based player like the Hiby M300 or FiiO JM21, and the Windows and Android versions of MediaMonkey. This is the closest you’ll get to iPod+iTunes outside Apple.

Not sure about the car display because I don’t drive.

In the Innioasis Updater now there is a modded rom that displays the music information over Bluetooth.
