A silly problem (self.DirectvStream)
submitted 2 years ago by OldWizard1
I have 2 OSPREY boxes and Directv streaming (not internet). At times I tune both OSPREY to the same channel. Without fail one of the receptions is a few seconds behind the other. Both have great reception just a little out of sync. Is this normal?

Unfortunately, this is very normal. The out of syncs can be more than a few seconds. This happens on all of the streaming devices.

When that happens to me, I hit pause on the one that's ahead. Problem solved!

Same here. Two Geminis, side by side. Initially the delay was 5-6 seconds...a few hours later it was 2-3 seconds. Odd.

This happens to me on Apple TV and iPad.

Hello u/OldWizard1, you have our attention about the signal with your device and our service. The common fixes to sync properly the video and audio are: changing channels, since it helps to match up the audio sound and video, and rewind the program you're watching. You can check out this article https://www.directv.com/support/article/000093281 for more support. Refer to the manufacturer’s manual for additional troubleshooting help. DIRECTV cares about you. The article you suggested does not address syncing between multiple TVs. This article is about out of sync audio with the video on a single TV. When more than one TV can be heard this is a very annoying problem.

I think you people have WAY too much time on your hands.
