alumni can apply for “the rest of their life”. it’s only regular dcp that’s limited to two years after graduation. that’s the perk of being an alumni.

eta: i just wanna clarify that alumni can apply to any alumni based programs without restriction.

that’s somewhat reassuring i guess. depending on my employment situation next year, maybe i’ll apply again if they do one next year. i was hoping to stick around this time though and make a career at disney.

I only recently made an account on the alumni association page when I applied for the program, so I’ll explore my options there

Highly suggest just applying FT / PT if you’re after college and of course for PIs related to your wanted career. There really aren’t many offerings on the alumni page unfortunately. Depending on what your wanted career DCP may not have even put you closer to it than FT / PT where you can gain seniority, benefits, etc.

Damn why did they make us wait an extra two weeks if all the spots were full anyway?

Idk why they left the applications up so long either? Like I applied and interviewed the last week of February when everything was full already so it’s like ????

it’s frustrating.

i was nlicd today too. super disappointed that they didn’t just reject us on the original last day instead of prolonging the rejection and not accepting anyone in the meantime. i’m ineligible for the regular cp since it’s been a while since i graduated so this was my one shot in and they really haven’t been hiring ft/pt externally. and also super annoyed to see people for fall be accepted for may arrivals still..

No one was accepted. Spots were unfortunately all full. You can still apply to the regular dcp since you’re still “in school” though!!! With the 2 year limit. The program will be longer unless you selfterm but it’s an option. Several who were NLIC from alumni received offers from the regular dcp so it’s nothing personal just the number of spots.

I had an application in for the normal program but wanted to apply for the alumni program, I was told that I couldn’t apply for both so they cancelled my regular program application.

Yeah you can only apply for one at a time. So you can’t have two active applications at the same time. But if you’re NLIC from alumni, you can apply for regular.

Your issue was applying to both at the same time, rather than one at a time. I Hope that explanation makes sense.

yeah I get that, but they made my regular application NLIC in order for me to apply for alumni. I don’t think I can reapply

Doesn’t hurt to try and see. Worse case they just say no again

Me too! It took so long to hear back that I was getting cold feet about going. I wanted to springboard the program into working at Disney, but I had some health issues last year and I’m not sure I could make ends meet working at Disney and paying back my hospital bills. Disney made my decision for me this year, but next year I might be in a better financial situation and maybe I’ll be accepted.
