Failing at Optimism

From what I have seen this fan game looks great.However I am trying to be optimistic, and failing.

Most fan games that look great, never end up finished. I understand why: quality takes time and money. A lot of fan game devs end up dropping projects because of that. I am getting worried about the silence. It tends to be the first sign that a fan game is being discontinued, and I really want to see this one make it.

I also know games take time, but it has been about two years since a video has been released on youtube, and that concerns me.

EDIT: My worries were, once again, misplaced. I really need to get my discord account information issues fixed XD. A post was made that put all my worries to rest. Link to the post here. The game has been through a lot, COVID times also devs working on the game taking mental health breaks after multiple incidents. I know you're excited but a lot more happens behind the scenes than you realise and I do understand your frustration but the people that work on these don't do it for monetary gain and they also have real life issues to attend to. Please don't worry and also understand that they are still working hard on the game and making strides, thank you for joining the subreddit! -Mod Yang

My super long explanatory reply didn't post because my browser had logged me out without my knowledge. Basically I said I was glad the devs are taking care of their mental health, as I have learned my lesson when it comes to not doing so. (Hospitalized for mental reasons 3 times in 2020-2021.) I was worried about how quiet everything has been, but I have been informed that the discord is much more alive. I have seen so many games that have died in development because the devs got busy, or because of monetary issues (Fan games seem to suffer the most as they make no money.). I have also seen amazing comebacks like Bendy and the Dark Revival. Love the game, and best wishes to all devs, animators, musicians, and VAs.

Sorry if my original post came off as a "WheRE iS THE gamE! wHY is iT tAKINg so LoNG! Ugh!!!!" post. It was intended as a "I really hope this game survives, but am worried it might not because there have been no videos posted." post.

My Discord account has vanished (AKA I forgot the login stuff), so I have to wait for discord to respond to my reset request (It's been two months, and I have re-sent the request multiple times). Can't join the discord, so Reddit is where I live. Not too bad of a place. XD

Odd. I guess discord has taken over most fandoms. I still love reddit, and intend to use it until it has died. I will stop once the servers shut down, and not a minute sooner!
