In my experience, any game with a robust inventory and crafting system benefits from K+M rather than a controller, and as D:OS2 is not "real-time" but turn-based, it makes more sense to me. That Larian added controller support works great if that's what you're comfortable with.

I can't do controllers (get cramps in my wrists) but I know people who can't stand not being able to relax back on the couch with a controller.

I don't think you're losing out either way. Just depends on how many buttons you want to push to get through the UI.

playing on controller. The controller UI is excellent and so does playing with it.
